The past week has been hectic for everyone, pigs included. Even Peaches (who is typically a reluctant lap pig unless a never-ending stream of food is involved) has begun to enjoy relaxing during cuddle time.
Here's a clip showing the piggies vertical hay rack setup. Poof and Truffle can be seen yanking out strands of hay from the ground level while Belka climbs to reach choice strands higher up. After investigating the camera, Peaches joins in on the munching.
After the piggies finished their sample of Small Pet Select's 2nd cut timothy hay (read the review here), we were curious to see how KMS Hayloft's 2nd cut timothy hay would compare. We placed a small order for everyone to try out. For a visual comparison, click to enlarge the image above or magnify it here.
Now that temperatures have cooled every piggy has been making good use of their fleece cage accessories. As soon as one leaves another is quick to take her place. To appease the growing demand we ordered another cozy from the Cozy Cavy.
Abby-Roo doesn't like to sit outside by herself on the grass so she stays close to a safe entity, be it another cavy or a piggy slave's foot. Sometimes this results in her chasing somebody across half the lawn before getting to a secure enclosure.
When Abby-Roo was adopted earlier this year her shark fin-like butt fur, while extraordinarily fluffy, was still rather short (to compare see her early photos here).
Are you interested in having your piggy make an appearance in a book? Our friends from the Undercover Guinea Pigs blog asked us to help spread the word about a competition they are holding to raise money for the UK based Potteries Guinea Pig Rescue.
For more details, please head over to their contest page here. The contest runs until December 31, 2012 so check it out!
Hope everyone and everypiggy enjoyed a safe and tasty Halloween.
When I first created this blog, my goal was not only to share cute photos and pig stories but also to share care tips, promote guinea pig welfare, and adoption.
