In the pigs' opinion, you can never have too many cozies. Which was my justification for ordering a matching guinea pig bed and snuggle sack from Spiffy Pigs. The cute woodland creatures themed fabric may or may not have had something to do with it.

It's been a while since our last C&C cage tour. Here's a look at our current spring themed guinea pig cage setup. Can you spot the cavies going about their piggy business?

Poof's pellet bowl maneuver

Every morning Belka, Truffle, Peaches, and Poof run to the food bowl when they hear the alarm clock go off. By the time someone opens the door to their room all four are waiting in formation for their morning pellets. (In contrast, Revy and Abby-Roo could never be bothered by something so mundane.)

Cavy cozy habits

The idea behind a cavy cozy is simple enough: a cushioned hideaway made of fleece to keep your guinea pigs snug and their bottoms dry. Like Truffle, many pigs prefer to use cozies how they were intended by tucking themselves into the sheltered pocket.

From the picture above, it appears that Peaches just barely manages to keep herself balanced while contorting to reach her front.

One evening during cage changing, Abby-Roo managed to hop into a fleece hut that had temporarily been stacked on top of a cardboard hideaway.

Many guinea pigs enjoy using their cozies like sleeping bags, tucking themselves into the warm fleecy pocket. This is how Abby-Roo prefers to hunker down for a snooze.

Now that temperatures have cooled every piggy has been making good use of their fleece cage accessories. As soon as one leaves another is quick to take her place. To appease the growing demand we ordered another cozy from the Cozy Cavy.

We managed to snag this guinea pig cage accessory one of the last times Marsha from the Cozy Cavy put a few premade items up for sale a few months ago. The Cozy Cave is a snuggly reversible fleece tunnel bed that we pigs can sleep in and run through.

Our favorite new toy from last weekend's OCCH Pignic is without a doubt, Gin Gin's Comfy Cozy. This isn't your average everyday fleece cozy - these are insulated so when you snuggle up for a nap in one, you get to really enjoy being cushioned and pampered! Because what piggy ISN'T royalty?
