For the past few years our friend Mieke from the Undercover Guinea Pigs blog has designed a calendar, the proceeds of which are donated to support a guinea pig shelter. This year, readers voted for proceeds to benefit 't Kuufke Guinea Pig Shelter in the Netherlands.

It's official!

Last week, Mike and I tied the knot in an intimate outdoor ceremony on the shores of a mountainside alpine lake. The brilliant turquoise water glowed as the clouds rolled by overhead. We felt lucky to have gotten married in such a magnificent place.

The calendar features different agent pigs from around the world, each of whom was invited to share their stories and a bit about themselves during their corresponding month. We've been enjoying reading the stories behind the piggy faces on the wall.

While roaming the stacks of a local bookstore our humans stumbled upon a jigsaw puzzle featuring the well known visage of Guinea Pig Over White. Being fairly predictable guinea pig lovers, they brought it home and spent a quiet hour or two putting it together.

Guinea Pig Magazine, a piggy lover's dream

If you consider yourself a cavy slave, then you'll without a doubt love Guinea Pig Magazine. While there are scores of dog and cat magazines on the market, hardly any are devoted exclusively to guinea pigs. The few cavy magazines that do exist are mainly targeted at breeders, and therefore are not well suited for the general public. For the average guinea pig owner hoping to learn more about the proper care of guinea pigs, GPM is a great fit.

Whee quite like this handmade guinea pig wallet clutch that our humans brought back from the OCCH Pignic last month. Its lavender with white polka dots and features a black and white piggy with Dutch markings. But most importantly, the front states "My heart belongs to my guinea pigs". Since our girl slave is the one using it, whee can assure you that this is very true!

Peaches now has a matching coin purse! The rest of us are a bit jealous that nobody has made any featuring our likenesses, they should make one for each and every piggy hmph. Our humans happened upon it when they searched for "guinea pig coin purse" on ebay. As soon as they saw it they knew they had to buy it because the piggy looked so much like our Peaches.
